Overview:

Interns will work directly with the recreation technician to maintain and improve recreation facilities and infrastructure on the Richfield Ranger District

9 Week position

Government housing is not available

Position Responsibilities:

Providing assistance on clearing trails of rock, brush and trees and creating a sustainable trail through water bars and proper trail maintenance. Campground and recreation area maintenance such as cleaning out fire rings, cleaning toilets, painting and weed removal. Sign installation and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  1. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  2. Experience working outdoors
  3. Ability to navigate across landscapes with the use of map and GPS
  4. Ability to Hike and lift and carry heavy loads (up to 80 pounds)
